Red onions originally from the town of Tropea, where the soil and the proximity to the sea make it possible to obtain an onion with well-defined characteristics: not only for its colour but also and above all for its particularly sweet flavour. Sliced and preserved in water. Suggestions for use: it is an excellent combination for the preparation of dishes based on fish (cod and tuna in particular) or meat (braised); it also lends itself well in savoury bakes for elegant and delicious pies; in first courses to reinvigorate the flavour and sweeten the acidity; in the pizzeria as a filling for gourmet pizzas or calzoni.
